This is what I suspected but didnt really understand how.the changes had been done.
This is why the 'volunteers' are dismissive of women.coming in there talking politics or activism. Not to them directly but with other clients. They'll do bitchy shit like close the door to the kitchen.
Probably they didnt have the funding to continue in the Bush era or they were intmidated into conforming and becoming part of the system.
Harvard and MIT give money to the local homeless drop ins. Harvard alumni either start these places or have run them for years.
