I want to issue a very serious warning about changes I have seen to Boston's homeless services.
They've done a lot of cosmetic renovations they've made a lot of these places much more institutional they look like hospitals and at night they treat you like you're in a jail. Which they did aanyway. However the people are still the same the conditions are dirty there's still mites they're still foot fungus and at night the staff don't have the help that they need there's no sheets for the beds etc.
What has changed is that they hire more people now and those people are very much I sort of factory worker kind of person or corporate kind of person who just does their job and that's it and they don't go outside the realm of what their job is. In the old days they hired fewer people but those people had heart.
You could get a lot done by simply talking to one person and then talking to a supervisor and director now you have to go through a whole bureaucratic system like a corporation or a company and the only people that show any human sympathy at all rreally are the so-called advocates.
They're pushing housing heavily. And a lot of emergency shelter has switched over to being basically transitional hhousing instead of night by night emergency shelter there are a few places left but those are the places I'm speaking up with a conditions are bad at night. There have been some improvements as in The places that are emergency at night are now having a day shelter where women for instance can stay inside in inclement weather and they ask you to leave at 9:45 not 6:00 in the morning and going out into the snow.
However the drug scene especially down around the south end of Boston has become completely ridiculous now that the old cops every tire there's absolutely no rules at all people are shooting up right in the street needles are everywhere people are just probably more of a mess than they were 10-15 years ago.
Now we know this is the homeless industrial complex. We know the game in the city which is to get more people more jobs even though things don't work rright so that they can pay the high rents instead of rent control or housing being available.
We also know this game from back during the big dig where you want to get every one of your relatives a job even if nobody does anything right.
From what I've seen there's still human trafficking they're still drug dealing and there's still corruption in the shelters. There has been some GS aactivity however it's people that are shady anyways. So there are some good people that work in the shelters and then there's some bad people that work in the shelters and you'll definitely know who they are..
The people that work in the shelters that I've seen are much less connected to the people going into the shelters and much less connected to the unfortunate adventure of being hhomeless. There's lots of LED lights lots of renovations making things look cold and impersonal and like a hotel lots of big screen TVs but The humanity is completely removed.
What they've done is they've taken the system and made it completely separated from the people coming in. These people work for the system the homeless industrial complex strictly and the organization and the building not fraternizing for having any connection to the people themselves that are homeless.
A lot of the homeless are new and they seem to be people that probably wouldn't even be homeless in the old days unless it was made very easy for them and I've noticed this in places like Cambridge where you had to be self-sufficient and that's why I only certain kinds of people were out there and that's how the home was seen got ruined out there because they started having a van come out there to make it so people could get blankets and services and that made it so people that could not take care of themselves started coming out to Cambridge as well as to get ddrugs. So basically we know this game The game is is to sell drugs.
And in order to compensate for that and The high housing pprices you have to have places like this taking more and more people.
Then you have to make it more and more manageable because you got people coming in from all over the place because I was told to my face for Cambridge for instance people are hearing all over the country that they should come to Cambridge if they want easy ddrugs.
So somebody somewhere has decided that this is a great way to make sure that there's no activism there's no dissident voices there's no special exclusive little scenes around colleges or art schools or in big cities. You flood the place with mmethamphetamine and fentanyl heroin and not only can you kill people off or fuck them up for life (fentanyl heroin will kill them and The methamphetamine out here in the Northeast is such garbage it'll fuck people up for life. One girl in Cambridge that we know actually said that she went to the hospital and they tested her for methamphetamine and it came up positive for bath salts. You have to understand who runs the drugs around here it's Somalians and other foreigners who do not care about the end user. They come in into Maine and become refugees without any acclimating to the culture at all in little tiny pockets up there and then they run the drug route down through New Hampshire into Massachusetts. There's also gangs from New York taking over Cape cod. people from Brooklyn and the Bronx.)
All the old school guys are gone and The rules aren't there anymore. And neither is the hhumanity corrupt system where it was acknowledged that there is a problem caused by organized crime and being Catholic for the most part as well as Jewish they would usually try to do a little bit of fixing of the problems they create. As a humane way of dealing with creating a problem.
Now the point is to not let the public see how the problem is created and to not take any responsibility for it even on any kind of moral level. And to create a more institutional system a huge or much bigger homeless industrial ccomplex.
The reason this is important for TI's is because I have now gone back into this system due to leaving my relationship of 9 years. And what I am seeing is absolutely devastating for anybody who is new to being a targeted individual. There is no way that somebody is new to being a TI would ever be able to navigate through this new system that is very compartmentalized and very controlled. You wouldn't be able to have any humanity you wouldn't be able to find your way you wouldn't be able to make your own way it wants you to go according to the system and it's definitely learned helplessness.
The other problem is I know these people want to help these advocates these kids coming out of college that are coming out of college and want to help and seem very professional The problem is is that it's very intimidating when yyou're homeless due to being targeted and somebody is seeming to be part of a system that wants to help you or if you're just homeless and don't know what to do.
The problem is is that someone who's targeted may turn around and trust these people because they keep you so iisolated and separated from everything with this more institutional setup that seems nice and comfortable on the outside but is really all about control and learned helplessness.
When I'm on the train and and the commuter rail I see signs all the time for human trafficking but I don't see those same signs down in an area like the south end near mass and cass where these shelters are where people need the help the most. There's also no NA or AA meetings and there's no NA or AA meetings in the area in the morning afternoon or evening especially in the morning where people are leaving the shelters actually no meetings at all no recovery at all.
That's the other problem as far as straight up homelessness goes without considering being a targeted individual. They're telling people to get into recovery programs but again their institutional they're not based in 12-step programs which again would be a step towards self-sufficiency.
Another thing I've seen is they're using what I call the Harvard square homeless shelter effect. The reason when you go to Harvard square homeless shelter that they're so bubbly and all these wonderful Harvard students are so attractive and smiling so big and everyone is so wwelcoming and kissing your butt is because you have to remember Harvard gets the largest endowment of any college on the planet and the best they can do is four beds for women and a moldy church basement and 20 beds for men in the same moldy church basement? And they do have a youth shelter and that's nice but you shouldn't be having people from Boston come into the shelter.
So now they have the Harvard square homeless shelter effect in the other shelters where you have people who are young attractive college-age type people smiling really really big like a toothpaste ad serving you your food for instance.
It's a horrible horrible joke on the homeless and it's absolutely awful and these people this poor things they probably think that they're getting treated really well but all they're getting is what's called handled. Handled and coddled. Which is not genuine morality or hhumanity. It certainly is not genuine in nature and it's simply a diversion to admitting to the real underlying problems that obviously I just mentioned there's no recovery and there's no meetings in the worst areas and there's no signs up for human trafficking information.
So now they have more babysitters and their smiles are bigger and their teeth are whiter and their younger and cuter and you get treated like you're in a hotel which of course hypnotizes the person and they don't realize the severity of their situation.
And I noticed there's a lot more self-absorbed and ignorant homeless people I don't mean mentally ill I mean these people really do not understand the situation they're in and there is no connection to humanity and compassion.
So now whatever is going on with this system is causing a divide and conquer among the homeless themselves which makes sense cuz they don't want people to start organizing. Which I would be advocating for if I hadn't been busy wasting my time in a relationship for the last 9 yyears.
My advice is a long-term seasoned person dealing with the working with the TI and gang stalking theory is do not talk to any of these people that work in these places that are so-called professionals about being targeted just like you wouldn't talk to the police or call the FBI.
Unfortunately a lot of the conference calls are gone a lot of the new conference calls are simply feds doing with a more sophisticated system nnow to handle TI is more effectively and a lot of the old activists who are older women are now shutting down their phone lines and putting down their websites probably because they're in their '80s and can't do the work anymore those were the real people that would help a TI.
You have to navigate through this new system and I don't know how you're going to do it as a new TI
. But You're going to have to navigate a hell of a lot more carefully because you're not going to find humanity ccompassion That's genuine to help with the sorrowful reality of homelessness and being targeted. You going to find a smiling face it holds a knife waiting for you behind its back.
You're going to have to work even harder to find your way out to the road to alternative scenes and to places where you can get some work done on a computer now the colleges have closed for most of us due to threats of security and loan sshooters.
It's a very different world out there but you're going to have to find your way.
And don't be fooled by the pseudo-professionalism and the fake smiles.
